UCLA Club Water Ski Practices at Ironwood Ranch

Even though fourth-year international development studies student Kirk Lee placed first in the Division II men's trick category at the National Collegiate Water Ski Championships, the Bruins finished last place among the 12 competing teams, primarily because they weren't able to field a full five men and five women.

After 11 years of competition, Lee was finally able to win a gold medal at the National Collegiate Water Ski Championships.

The UCLA club water ski team is a tight-knit family according to Lee. Lee said that his wish for the team after he graduates is not for them to qualify for nationals, but to continue having a good time water skiing.
