Retired U.S. Army Col. Dick Littlestone was one of several veterans who attended the event on Monday.
Lt. Col. Michael McDermott, professor and chair of military science, led the moment of silence at the start of the ceremony.
Former U.S. Army staff sergeant and current UCLA School of Dentistry student Tigon Abalos was one of the speakers at the event.
Retired U.S. Navy commander and UCLA Facilities Management assistant vice chancellor Kelly Schmader was one of the distinguished speakers at Monday's ceremony.
