UCLA Recreation officials are asking members of the university community to suggest potential names for the new gym expected to open on the Hill next fall.
The contest is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni and UCLA Recreation members, who can submit names on an online form.
The 14,000 square-foot fitness center will be open to undergraduate students and housing staff, and will be about as large as the training facility at the John Wooden Center. It will open under Bruin Plate on the ground floor of Carnesale Commons.
The contest winner will win a pair of Adidas running shoes. Gym names must reflect positively on UCLA and be original, according to a UCLA Recreation statement.
Names must be submitted by Monday at 5 p.m. on the UCLA Recreation website.
