Chancellor Gene Block met with about 30 students and administrators at the Neuroscience Research Building auditorium on Monday afternoon for a question-and-answer session.
Block discussed various university goals involving the health sciences, including his plan to increase UCLA’s international ranking through more interdisciplinary partnerships between the sciences and humanities.
He also discussed a lack of diversity among individuals in the physical sciences and engineering departments on campus, and his hope to get faculty to work more with development officers to help reach out to donors.
