Bruin Republicans hosted its annual 9/11 memorial Thursday at the Schoenberg quad.

About 2,980 flags with numbers on them, representing the individuals who died in the terrorist attacks 13 years ago, decorated the lawn.

Jake Kohlhepp, the external vice president for the group and a third-year political science and economics student, said he hopes the event helped unite individuals from across the political spectrum.
