Sunset Boulevard is likely to remain closed throughout Wednesday and on Thursday because of problems in shutting off water flow to a pipe break that caused flooding at UCLA Tuesday.

L.A. Department of Water and Power workers have estimated that the valves affected by the break are about 95 percent closed, but water coming from one line is continuing to flow to the area. As a result, repairs on the pipe have been stalled, according to a LADWP press release.

The department added that system engineers are currently working to find a way to get the water shut off so repair work can begin.
