The UCLA Health System was again ranked fifth in the country and first in California by U.S. News and World Report in its annual Best Hospitals 2014-2015 Honor Roll released this week. The system maintained the ranks it has held for several years.

U.S. News and World Report ranked UCLA hospitals highly in 15 of its 16 specialties, all except rehabilitation. The list of specialties includes cancer, geriatrics, orthopedics and psychiatry.

“We are grateful and honored to again be recognized for the outstanding work of our physicians and staff on behalf of the patients who seek care at UCLA,” said UCLA Health System President Dr. David Feinberg in a statement.

Seventeen hospitals across the country were named in the rankings this year for receiving high scores in at least six of the specialties.
