The On-Campus Housing Council will show the movie “Her” for its last movie event of the year at the Sunset Recreation Center Wednesday evening.

Organizers decided to hold the event outdoors for the first time because of the hot summer temperatures, said OCHC Programming Director Sean-Luc Shanahan.

The screening will take place at 7 p.m., following a free barbecue dinner an hour prior. OCHC will also raffle off prizes at the beginning of the event.

Unlike previous OCHC movie events, Hill residents voted for the film through an online poll on the OCHC Facebook page. “Her” won by a landslide, Shanahan said.

Other choices included “American Hustle,” “12 Years a Slave” and “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

“Our biggest goal is that people have a good time amidst crazy midterms,” Shanahan said.
