Every Friday, The Bruin Sports section will predict the outcome of the weekend’s top three UCLA sporting events.

Baseball: UCLA v. Stanford (Friday to Sunday)
UCLA won a game in its last five attempts, including a rare tie on Tuesday. But after getting swept last weekend by the USC Trojans, the Bruins should bounce back this series. Look for UCLA to win two out of three against a struggling Stanford team.

Softball: UCLA v. Stanford (Friday to Sunday)
No. 2 UCLA heads into its weekend series as winner of its last 11 games and looks to continue that streak against Stanford, who ranks second-to-last in the conference. Look for the Bruins to pull off the sweep in their final regular-season homestand of the year.

Track and field: UCLA v. USC (Sunday)
After a slow start to its outdoor season, the UCLA track and field team has found its stride entering the closing stages of the regular season. Although USC may traditionally have the better sprint program, expect the more well-rounded UCLA men’s and women’s teams to come out on top.

2014 prediction record to date: 6-12
