A student recently found his missing backpack, which he reported stolen to university police.

UCPD originally reported that an unknown person entered the student’s room in Saxon Suites between 6 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday and stole his black backpack.

Connor Remes, a second-year undeclared student, said he could not find his backpack after leaving De Neve dining hall for brunch on Saturday. He called university police to report his missing bag around 2 p.m. because he thought it was stolen, he said.

“I was going to the library and couldn’t find (my backpack) anywhere,” Remes said. “I even looked in De Neve and it didn’t appear to be there.”

Remes said he found his bag on the racks in the dining hall around 5 p.m. Saturday.
