In this new segment, The Bruin’s Sports section will predict the outcome of the weekend’s top-three UCLA sporting events.
Men’s Basketball: UCLA v. Washington State (Saturday 8 p.m.) – UCLA has struggled with the back half of road trips all season and has yet to win the second game of a road trip this season. But facing a struggling Washington State team which scored just 25 points against Arizona earlier this year, UCLA should get a double-digit win.

Baseball: UCLA v. USC (Sunday 1 p.m.) – The Bruins have been up and down all year. Their hitting has yet to show up and their pitching hasn’t been quite as dominant as last season. Still, expect UCLA to go 2-1 in its three games this weekend, including a road win over USC on Sunday.

Women’s Tennis: UCLA v. USC (Friday 3 p.m.) Although the Bruins mopped up the No. 6 Trojans in a relatively easy victory at the Women’s National Indoor Team Championship last month, they haven’t played a game in two weeks because they had a rainout last weekend. Expect a rusty No. 3 UCLA squad to fall in a close 4-3 loss to USC.

2013-2014 prediction record to date: 0-0
