UCLA Recreation is hosting its eight annual “I Heart Walking” event this week to encourage students and staff to be more physically active.

Participants will meet at different spots on campus each day from Monday to Thursday at noon and walk for an hour around campus. Walkers can dress according to each day’s theme, which all relate to the Winter Olympics.

On Monday, walkers will gather at Janss Steps and dress in clothing related to their country of choice. On Tuesday, participants may wear Team USA gear and meet at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. On Wednesday, walkers can wear their funniest winter gear when they meet at Kinross Recreation Center and the event’s closing ceremonies will begin at the track at Drake Stadium on Thursday.

UCLA Recreation will distribute all T-shirts and prizes, ranging from a $25 gift card from UCLA Transportation to a one-night stay for two at a Double Tree Hotel.
