Long Story Short – January 27, 2014

As fourth week quickly approaches, hosts Jonaki Mehta and Sidhaant Shah keep in touch with some of the new UCLA happenings on Long Story Short. Tune in at 6 p.m. to listen to third-year psychobiology student Kush Bhatt and third-year biology student Varun Agarwal, the co-founders of the organization Synapse, talk about their mindful awareness event that will encourage students to use meditation as an alternative to parties. Next up, Sid talks about his experience at the gastropub on Thursday, as he reviews Venice’s famous Library Alehouse during the ongoing DineLA week. Lastly, third-year microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics student David Chernobylsky, author of “The Perspective: A Medical Volunteer Experience,” talks about how he submitted his book to be considered for the next UCLA Common Book and shares memorable moments from his volunteer experience.
