The Mental Health Crisis Act is legislation proposed last month that would broaden the conditions under which notifying the parents of a student exhibiting symptoms of mental illness is allowed. This week, Dr. Baron discusses the bill and what it means for students if it passes, as well as common mental illnesses and what students should do if they believe they’re suffering from some of the symptoms.
