“Every subject matter you’re working on should look at the context of the time and many of these books reflect this,” says Design | Media Arts department chair and book designer Willem Henri Lucas about his work. Lucas stresses the importance of art in the community and addresses social issues in his book designs, which have won awards in the US and the Netherlands.
