Songs and Stories: Hollywood Music Parade

“You don’t need no more sub-genres, you don’t need no more labels … it’s just pure music,” said Jonathan Santin, a drummer in Sam Ali’s Hollywood Music Parade, an organic musical arrangement that combines many different artists and musical styles. Ali, a UCLA alumnus, describes how these various artists came together and performs his original song, “I Don’t Want to be Your Friend.”
