Man steals UCLA student’s iPhone near Strathmore, Levering

An unknown man stole a UCLA student’s iPhone in Westwood on Monday, according to a university police report.

The man grabbed the phone from the student near the intersection of Strathmore Drive and Levering Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. He then ran off, according to the report.

The man was described in the report as black, 30- to 40-years-old, with a thin build, according to the report.

UCPD recommends that students walk in groups at night and avoid walking with a phone in their hand.
