Police are looking for a man who tried to sexually assault two people near the residential halls early Friday morning, according to a university police report.

The man grabbed a student from behind outside Rieber Hall on 310 De Neve Drive at about 2:30 a.m., said UCPD spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein. The man left after he was interrupted by two other people. Police believe that he then grabbed a second person’s buttocks at a nearby residence hall, according to the report.

The man was described in the report as 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall with light skin and short brown hair. He was wearing a blue tank top, blue jeans and tennis shoes at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information can call UCPD at (310) 825-9371.
