UCLA football wide receiver Nick Pasquale died of multiple blunt-force injuries, according to autopsy results released Monday.

Pasquale, 20, was struck by a vehicle around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Camino De Los Mares, west of Calle Nuevo, in San Clemente, Calif. He died at the scene and the driver of the vehicle, who stopped and called the police, was neither cited nor arrested.

The autopsy ruled Pasquale’s death an accident, said Lt. Jeff Hallock, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Following protocol for vehicle-related accidents, the coroner will perform a toxicology test on Pasquale, the results of which are expected to be released in eight to 12 weeks, Hallock said.
