The Westwood Brewing Company, commonly known as Brew Co., will officially close on Tuesday, said Greg Heiner, a bouncer at Brew Co.

Brew Co. has been on the corner of Glendon and Kinross avenues in Westwood for almost 20 years.

The bar is closing because the owner wants to focus on other projects, said Brew Co.’s general manager, George Workman, in May. Its profits have also been decreasing since the recession in 2008, Workman said.

The Boiling Crab, a seafood chain, will move into Brew Co.’s space, said Steve Sann, the chair of the Westwood Community Council, in May.
