University police arrested a 20-year-old man Thursday morning in connection with a robbery in the North Village last week.

Tyrell Temoney was arrested in the Woodland Hills area following an Aug. 18 cell phone robbery on Levering Avenue, said UCPD spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein.

Police said the man, who is originally from the east coast, went up to a student at about 12:45 a.m. and stole his phone from his hand.

Temoney is being held on $50,000 bail and faces robbery charges, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Three other men, ages 20 to 22, were also detained in connection with the robbery but were later released, Greenstein said.
