Usually behind the scenes producing Long Story Short, Daily Bruin radio director Bianca Broszus and senior staff photographer Sidhaant Shah move to the other side of the soundboard to host this week’s show. First, we discuss the coffee and pastries of Westwood’s Elysee Bakery and Cafe with our new weekly coffee shop review segment, “The Monday Cafe with Meral Arik.” UCLA alumnus Eliott Ephrati comes in the studio to talk about his new invention, the Skymouse, that allows you to control the cursor with your fingertips. Members of the Long Story Short team review their weekend of sights and sounds at “Saturdays off the 405”, a free concert series hosted by the Getty Center. Then, with Comic Con just around the corner, UCLA students share who they would like to dress up as and why.
