Shabazz Muhammad has elected to declare for the NBA draft, meaning he will leave UCLA and forgo his remaining years of eligibility.

Though Muhammad had not yet made clear whether he was going to stay or leave UCLA, former coach Ben Howland and Muhammad’s teammates made it clear that they did not think he would return next season.

In his freshman year with the Bruins, Muhammad led the team in scoring with 17.9 points per game.

The NBA draft will take place on June 27 at 4 p.m. in New York City.
