Super Smash Bros. Melee is a 12-year-old fighting video game that remains relevant over a decade down the line, especially to a group of UCLA students who meet every week to play together.

This year, they are especially excited to have a chance to once again re-enter the competitive fighting game scene. The tournament Evolution Championship (EVO) is opening up an eighth and final position at its exhibition for any fighting game that can raise the most money to donate to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.

The Melee community, including the UCLA team, are vying against sixteen other fighting games for the chance to go to Las Vegas and compete in final slot at EVO.
