Video: Filming ESPN College GameDay at UCLA

March 3, 2013 2:50 p.m.

Students camping outside Pauley Pavilion for tickets to the men’s basketball game against Arizona were ushered in the building at 5 a.m. Saturday morning for a taping of ESPN College GameDay. The show, which makes weekly stops at various campuses throughout the season, uses rowdy fans for the backdrop to its set. Students may have been tired after an all-night campout but the arena was still full of energy. Host Rece Davis and analysts Jalen Rose, Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas interacted with the crowd while Ben Howland, Larry Drew II and Kyle Anderson of the basketball team made cameos for the show. GameDay taped live until 9 a.m., when students received priority passes for the game in the evening. Watch highlights from GameDay as well as hear students reactions to camping out.
