On Jan 17, self described “Revolutionary Artist” Emory Douglas spoke at the annual commemoration of the 1971 murder of Alprentice “Bunchy” Carter and John Huggins—UCLA students and members of the Black Panther Party. Douglas describes his experience as lead art director of the Black Panther, the party’s newspaper.
