UCLA basketball leads Texas 32-30 after first half

UCLA leads Texas 32-30 at the end of the first half.

The first twenty minutes of the game at Reliant Stadium in Houston saw both teams struggle offensively.

Texas shot only about 36 percent from the field and was unable to capitalize on many open looks from behind the arc, going a dismal one for 11 behind the arc. The Bruins were 15 for 33, led by nine points from freshman guard Kyle Anderson.

Anderson also led the team with six rebounds. UCLA played in a 2-3 zone defense early in the half but switched to a man-to-man defense after struggling to stop Texas.
