STORE

  • ASUCLA has seen low trends in sales in January, with this month being the worst they have seen in about three years, said Rich Delia, chief financial officer of ASUCLA. The month, however, cannot be compared with last year’s sales at this time, because the school quarter started one week later than normal.
  • The Ackerman Textbook store saw strong sales in Fall, but did not show as high of numbers for January.
  • Bearwear and the Computer Store were all off-plan in January.
  • January was a strong month in sales for hospital kits at the UCLA Health Sciences Store.
  • The store will have a Valentine’s Day sale on Feb. 9.

FOOD

  • Food service had a strong fall quarter, and has done well in January.

CONSTRUCTION

  • The Court of Sciences Student Center is still not completed, despite a projected January opening.
