Echo Park neighborhood is an "urban oasis" amidst East LA

Echo Park lake and the surrounding Echo Park neighborhood are nestled within the urban sprawl of Eastern Los Angeles, and while the downtown skyline and the passing cars serve as a reminder to this fact, the location still stands out as a peaceful patch within the big city.
