Correction: The original version of this article published on Nov. 2 contained an error. Both sessions of the Regents meeting were open to the public and available via online audio. Only a portion of the Compliance and Audit Committee session was open only to Regents.

Two committees of the UC Board of Regents will meet today in the Morgan Center to discuss the financial situation of the UC as well as unspecified personal matters and litigation.

The Compliance and Audit Committee, which is responsible for ensuring UC policies are in sync with state and federal regulations, will meet over teleconference at 11 a.m., said Steve Montiel, a spokesman for the UC Office of the President.

At 1 p.m., a meeting of the Investment Committee will be held, after which there will be a public comment period.

The committee will receive suggestions on the meeting agenda that will be discussed during the full UC Regents meeting on Nov. 16 at UC San Francisco.

Regent committees meet on a regular basis in between the full regent meetings, UC Student Regent Jesse Cheng said.
