As September comes to a close and October looms, the college basketball season is just around the corner.

As such, the UCLA men’s basketball team has finalized its 2010-2011 schedule, complete with game times and TV schedules.

In their final season at Pauley Pavilion before it closes for renovation, the Bruins will appear on national television 19 times, with six of them being broadcasted on ESPN.

After two exhibition games at home against Westmont College and Cal State Los Angeles to kick off the season, UCLA will host Cal State Northridge in the first regular season game of the year.

New to the schedule this year is the 2010 Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off. The Bruins are assured two games at Pauley Pavilion, the first against Pepperdine on ESPNU. UCLA then takes on the winner of Nevada and Pacific. If the Bruins win their first two tournament games, they will head to New York City for the semifinals. Otherwise, they could visit a host of locations for the consolation rounds.

Other non-conference highlights for UCLA include a trip to Kansas on Dec. 2 to play the Jayhawks after falling to them at home last year, and a date with BYU as part of the John R. Wooden Classic on Dec. 18.

UCLA’s Pac-10 season opens on Dec. 29 against Washington State at Pauley Pavilion.
