It’s hidden, it’s old and if you’re looking for the Physics and Astronomy Machine Shop, you won’t find it on a map. The basement of the Humanities Building is home to many classrooms and a lecture hall. It also houses a 35-year-old machine shop that mainly services UCLA’s physical sciences, and allows graduate and post-doctoral students to undergo training in building experimental projects.
