UCLA women’s soccer scores 2-0 victory over Cal State Northridge

The UCLA women’s soccer team rolled to another victory Friday night with a 2-0 win over Cal State Northridge on the road.

In the process, however, one of the team’s senior captains, Kara Lang, left the game in the 21st minute after making a cut without contact that appeared to injure her knee. Assistant coach B.J. Snow said that while he would not speculate on the nature of the injury, Lang went to have the knee evaluated tonight.

“Kara is a huge part of our program,” he said. “It’s difficult to see somebody that goes down in the fashion that she did, and our girls responded in a very positive manner.”

Fellow seniors Kristina Larsen and Lauren Cheney did the scoring for the Bruins, and Snow said the team was able to use several players off the bench once again to get them experience in the win.
