A sexual assault occurred on the 1200 block of Veteran Avenue on May 25.

The victim was assaulted at gunpoint after parking and leaving her vehicle. The suspect fled after the assault, according to a Los Angeles Police Department community alert.

The suspect, who is still at large, is described as being about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 35 to 40 years old. He is said to have a slender build, dark blond or light brown hair, and wire-frame glasses, according to the police notification.

The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous, and police are warning people to be cautious and avoid confronting him.

Anyone with nonemergency information about the case is asked to contact the Operations West Bureau Sexual Assault Detail at 213-473-0561.
