“¢bull; In a definitive 368-60 vote, the House passed a measure on Thursday that would allocate an additional $96.7 billion in military funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“¢bull; Responding to accusations by Republicans on Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi denied knowing the extent of the Bush administration’s waterboarding efforts. Pelosi said she was lied to by the CIA in a 2002 briefing about enhanced interrogation.

“¢bull; Astronauts successfully repaired the Hubble telescope in a risky seven-hour operation on Thursday, installing a new camera the size of a piano and replacing a broken data-handling unit.

“¢bull; Chrysler announced plans to close nearly 800 dealerships across the nation by early June, citing low sales. The move is expected to affect about 40,000 workers, not all of whom will be laid off.

“¢bull; Habitat for Humanity International announced Thursday it will receive a gift of $100 million from an Atlanta businessman, marking the largest individual contribution in the organization’s history.
