The No. 19 UCLA men’s golf team finished in eighth place at the Pac-10 Championships after another mediocre day of golf. After two rounds on Monday and one round on Tuesday, the Bruins have a total score of 1,114 (+34), a whopping 42 strokes behind the first place Washington Huskies, who finished the day at 1,072 (-8).

Senior Erik Flores and sophomore Connor Driscoll paced the Bruins on Tuesday with rounds of 70 (-2). Flores finished in a tie for ninth place individually with a 54-hole total of 216 (E) while Driscoll sits in a tie for 23rd at 221 (+5).

Sophomore Philip Francis has been consistently solid for the Bruins, shooting another round of 72 to put his total at 218 (+2) and pushing him into a tie for 14th place. Freshman Gregor Main shot a 73 (+1) and finished in a tie for 44th place at 226. Freshmen Alex Shi Yup Kim and Beau Schoolcraft had rough days, both shooting in the 80’s, as they finished with an 80 and 81 respectively.

Washington has commanding leads in both the team and individual standings. They hold a seven-stroke lead over Oregon in the team competition, and junior Darren Wallace holds a five-stroke lead over second place junior John Murphy of California.
