University police posted a crime alert bulletin last week releasing information regarding Hanie Yoon, a university police subject of interest, who made threatening statements to UCLA medical researchers.

UCPD Captain John Adams said Yoon displayed irrational behavior and may be mentally disturbed.

“We know who she is, but we don’t know the extent of whether she is mentally disturbed or not, or how mentally disturbed she is,” Adams said.

The 5-foot-6-inch woman has brown hair and brown eyes, according to a university police crime alert bulletin.

Adams said Yoon has no reason to be on campus, as she is not affiliated with the university.

“If she were to be seen, we would detain her,” he added.

Yoon threatened more than one person on campus, and if UCLA community members see her they should alert UCPD immediately, Adams said.
