Editorial views on Palin pick not all-encompassing

Don’t speak for me! I am a woman who was thrilled that McCain chose Palin (“McCain fails to put US first with VP choice,” Sept. 2).

I really didn’t like Obama or McCain. Governors should be president, not senators (who do nothing but vote on bills and Obama hasn’t voted on many).

But now I am leaning heavily toward McCain-Palin. My uncle lives in a small town outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, where I have visited many times.

I know that Sarah is strong, smart and wildly popular in her state. And for good reason.

It’s about time there is a woman in the White House. And she is a great role model for all women: She does it all.

So don’t speak for me or the women in my family. We are loving Palin!
