The Graduate Students Association will be holding a “Rock the Vote” karaoke night to give students the opportunity to meet candidates running for office in the graduate student elections.

“Rock the Vote” will take place tonight at Westwood Brewing Company and drinks for the first 100 people are free. Graduate and professional students are encouraged to attend.

“We’re trying to get graduate students to meet all the candidates,” said Cynthia Pineda-Scott, director of elections. “It’s basically a meet and greet.”

Presidential candidate Jamal Madni said he hoped students would take the opportunity to meet the candidates.

“It’s an opportunity for everyone who’s going to attend to put some faces to names and personalities to the pictures,” Madni said. “It’s a relaxed, social setting for people to see how we are and the issues that we stand for.”

GSA elections will be held April 15-22.
