The UCLA Heart and Lung Transplant Program, which has ranked first in the nation, holds an annual picnic and baseball game in Culver City’s Veteran’s Park for transplantees, nurses, doctors, and their friends and families. Lewis Copsidas, (above, with his daughter-in-law Renne Corrigan) received a heart transplant 13 and a half years ago and has been attending the picnic ever since.
