Immigrants, fight for your freedom

The United States is a country made by immigrants, for
immigrants. Immigrants make the United States diverse and
unique.

How could people, who are only trying to find a better life, be
called criminals?

In the past, the United States has only gone wrong when it
rejected its immigrants.

Let us not forget how rejecting Jewish immigrants (on the SS St.
Louis) during World War II affected those immigrants’
lives.

The United States is the land of the free and we will fight to
defend freedom.

Are immigrants not fighting for freedom? Freedom of speech?
Freedom of the pursuit of happiness?

These high school students have every right to take the streets.
They are showing that they deserve to be in the land of the
free.

Imagine this kind of protest in their own country; would they be
heard? Would they be executed? Students are making the right choice
when they miss school to exercise the right to oppose this law in
peaceful rally.

I’d miss school to get a green card; I’d miss school
to tell the government to give me a life in the land of
opportunity.
