Offering up a fresher perspective

Leano’s columns rock my world. Poignant, biting, fresh and
witty, his words are indeed the mongoose to my snake.

I have read a few of them there articles from the Daily Bruin in
my day, but few can match up to the ninja-sweet performances that
Leano puts forth on a weekly basis.

Let the man speak … let the man speak.

Sam Nalle St. Paul, Minnesota

There’s more than a crossword puzzle?

I’ve never written about an article in the Daily Bruin
before, but I love Hector Leano’s articles.

To be honest, the best parts of The Bruin are the Associated
Press articles and then the humorous ones like Leano’s.

And even though I’m not much into sports, I can always
somehow relate to the stuff he writes about ““ like the spins
he’s taken on surfing and the World Series. . .

So, yes, my point is, please put more columns like these in The
Bruin. Please have Leano write more often.

Then maybe I won’t immediately throw the paper out after
completing the crossword puzzle.

UCLA should have hired Spurrier

Why haven’t I heard anything about Steve Spurrier coaching
at UCLA? The guy obviously wants to get back into the college
ranks.
