THEATER&ARTS: “Coming of Age in Ancient Greece: Images
of Childhood from the Classical Past” Until Dec. 5, Getty
Museum The Getty’s newest exhibit tackles the puzzling
question of how children lived in ancient Greece, revolving around
themes of games, school, family, ceremony and myth. What we want to
know is how the parents survived without letting them sit in front
of the television. Visit www.getty.edu for more info.

Sandra Tsing Loh and Harry Shearer Hammer Museum Oct. 5, 7 p.m.
You may not think you know either Loh or Shearer, but you probably
do without realizing it. Loh has a radio show on KPCC, and Shearer
is the voice of Mr. Burns and others on “The Simpsons.”
Hear them talk for free as part of the Hammer’s conversation
series. Visit www.hammer.ucla.edu for more.
