New institute launched: The UCLA Anderson
School of Management recently expanded its 27-year-old
Entertainment Media Program with the hopes of bringing together the
leaders of Hollywood and the brightest of the school.

The new Entertainment and Media Management Institute will
facilitate the unique exchange of ideas between industry
professionals, students and faculty.

“(It will) embrace new ideas for managing and thriving in
the face of transforming entertainment and media business
models,” according to a UCLA press release.

The executive director of the institute, Gigi Johnson, a 1988
MBA alumna of UCLA, said, “Our mission is to bring together
interested constituencies to find ways to best manage and make
decisions in the face of greater uncertainty.”
