Tousek, Clemens are Medal winners UCLA gymnast
Yvonne Tousek and tennis player Tobias
Clemens
were selected as 2003-04 Pacific-10 Conference
Medal winners, announced Wednesday by Commissioner Tom
Hansen
. A Conference Medal is awarded each year to an
exemplary male and female student-athlete from each Pac-10 school.
The award is based on the exhibition of the greatest combination of
achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership.

MEN’S WATER POLO: After defeating Russia
in the second round, a feat that has not been accomplished in 24
years, Team USA’s men’s water polo team finished second
in the four-team Moscow International after defeating No. 7
Australia, 11-6. Serbia and Montenegro took first place. Over the
course of the Russian Tournament, former Bruin goalie
Brandon Brooks averaged eight saves per contest.
Senior Brett Ormsby, also a member of Team USA,
went scoreless in the tournament Over the past 24 days, Team USA
has racked up frequent flyer miles. During the trip, they managed
to go 5-2.
