What do you think of the Associated Students of UCLA’s
decision to keep Taco Bell on campus? Alex Smith Graduate
student, mathematics “I do not feel strongly one way
or another. The only thing that I am concerned with, is that
everybody made a stink about how they are going to kick Taco
Bell off campus, and that turned into nothing.”
Adam Monsell Exchange student, history “I
think it is an ethical question for the university. I think it is
important that the university has good ethics that it can
demonstrate to its students.” Gev Mkhsyan
Fourth-year, English “I think it is wrong (to keep
it on campus) unless Taco Bell stops obtaining tomatoes the way
they do.” Elizabeth Chiba Second-year, world arts and
cultures “I do not support the decision. I do not
agree with the tomato production process. I think that ASUCLA is
making a big statement by keeping Taco Bell on campus, and I do not
think it is a statement that ASUCLA should be making.”
