Campus unity No. 1 priority

I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically accept the endorsement of
the Daily Bruin Editorial Board. This next week, we have an
extraordinary opportunity to change the way we look at student
government at UCLA. If we truly want to see positive and powerful
results during our time at UCLA, this campus needs to heal the
rifts that have divided us this past year and work as one to
accomplish some real change.
While I have grown to greatly respect my opponents, I truly
believe I am the only candidate who can bring this campus together.
As an independent, I will be able to bridge the political and
ideological gulfs on council and campus. For this reason, I am
asking for the support of all students in today’s election.
If elected president, I want to work with council members from
Students First! and Equal Access Coalition and independents on
issues that affect us all. I believe that by working together, we
really can reduce the cost of education, improve the quality of
student life, and reform student government.
I would also work toward real solutions for the problems that
are faced by all students at UCLA.
I have come to this campaign with a well-rounded and unmatched
experience at UCLA. Serving as the president of Bruin Democrats,
I’ve had the opportunity to lead the largest and most
influential political organization on campus.
As national co-founder and president of UCLA’s chapter of
Students for Organ Donation, I’ve been able to build a
national organization from the ground up and work to improve the
lives of thousands of people. Serving as an orientation counselor,
I was able to become familiar with many of the resources available
to all UCLA students.
UCLA is an extraordinary university, and I believe that while it
is our diversity that makes us strong, it will be our unity that
will make us unstoppable.
Ludlow is a USAC presidential candidate.
