Hot out here First-year students Megan Tedford,
front, Kelly McLean, back right, and Ashley Koegel take a break
from studying to enjoy the sunshine at Sunset Canyon Recreation
Center on Tuesday. Though summer is officially 53 days away, things
are getting unseasonably warm in Westwood. According to
weather.com, the expected high temperature Tuesday was 87 degrees,
which is considerably higher than the average April temperature of
73 degrees for the Santa Monica and Westwood area. Temperatures are
not expected to exceed 90 degrees in the near future and should
cool down by next week, according to extended forecasts.
