Vásquez what? Come on, remember the gigantic shards of rock
where Bill and Ted were pushed off of by the evil
“usses” in their Bogus Journey? With cameos in dozens
of films, music videos and TV shows, including
“MacGyver,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and
“Friends,” Vásquez Rock is a legendary character
on its own.

Named after the notorious 19th-century bandito Tiburcio
Vásquez, who used the geological anomaly as a hideout, the
745-acre park is perfect for a good game of cops and robbers and
costs nothing more than the gas it takes to get there. Take
Interstate Highway 5 North to the 14 Freeway East and exit on Agua
Dulce Canyon Road. Turn left under the highway and continue down
road, watching for signs. Entrance is on the right. Visit
parks.co.la.ca.us/vasquez_narea.html for more details.
