The Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz, CA

If you’ve never visited the famed Mystery Spot, a 150-foot
area just outside Santa Cruz where proprietors claim the laws of
physics and gravity no longer apply, use your spring break to drive
up Highway 1 and have a gander.

Granted, some of the gravity-defying attractions are pretty
easily explained by obvious trickery, but nobody we know has been
able to figure out how they can make two people of completely
different heights appear to be eye level with one another. Plus,
you can buy kitschy postcards and T-shirts in the gift shop. Pack a
camera, and maybe your own level, and check out www.mysteryspot.com
for directions and to purchase tickets in advance.

Compiled by Erin Glass, Andrew Lee, Sommer Mathis and Jake
Tracer, dB Magazine senior staff.
